Edinburgh International Film Festival launch Composers Lab and Sound Lab at GFF
Last night our friends from Edinburgh International Film Festival were in Glasgow to launch the EIFF Composers Lab and Sound Lab!
Applications now open.
Supported by the Creative Scotland Creative Futures fund, this programme is to promote individual talent across the different art forms.
Composers Lab: Over five days, eight composers will be invited to Edinburgh to learn from leading film composers, directors, music editors and supervisors who will lend their insight, advice and expertise. Participants will also be given a full EIFF pass and invited to attend other industry events that are taking place during the Festival.
Sound Lab: Additionally, in partnership with Savalas, one of the UK's leading sound post production companies, EIFF will run a new Sound Lab for emerging Sound Designers. This is a truly unique opportunity for anyone interested in understanding feature film sound from beginning to end. Participants will learn about the creative practice of film sound design with hands on experience in a real feature film facility.
