Festivals Within the Festival
Collaborations and partnerships are key to GFF’s success. Our approach is to present mini festivals within the Festival that both complement and diversify the programme as a whole – keeping it fresh, attracting new audiences and supporting citywide talent and ideas.
- Glasgow Short Film FestivalScotland’s leading short film festival is an inclusive meeting point for audiences, emerging local talent and international filmmakers. 7-10 February 2013
- Glasgow Youth Film FestivalGYFF is Europe’s most innovative film festival for young audiences, programmed entirely by Glasgow based teenagers. 3-13 February 2013
- Glasgow Music and Film FestivalGMFF is a mini festival which celebrates innovation in music, film and the culture that unites them.
- FrightFestFrightFest offers schlock, gore and grindhouse – the freshest and most frightening films the genre has to offer!
At GSFF audiences mingle with local filmmakers and talent from around the world. From 7-10 February 2013, we present four heady days of competition screenings, retrospectives, masterclasses, live performances, parties and awards.

Glasgow Youth Film Festival 2013 offers young people affordable access to exclusive film previews, free workshops and special guests. Devised entirely by Glasgow-based teenagers, GYFF13 runs from 3-13 February.

Glasgow Music and Film Festival, in association with The Arches, celebrates innovation in music, film and the culture that unites them. GMFF features a series of one-off audio visual live events, complemented by a programme of music films.
