Glasgow Short Film Festival

13-16 FEBRUARY 2014

Scotland’s leading short film festival returned for four days of screenings, workshops and parties. Whilst CCA remained our hub, this year the International competition took place in the state-of-the-art GFT Screen 3, and we ventured into The Arches, Glasgow School of Art's new building and even an underground car park. Attendance was our highest yet, and we welcomed over 100 guests from across Europe and the USA.

We opened with the world premiere of a sublime collaboration between British-Bulgarian composer Dobrinka Tabakova and Scottish filmmaker Ruth Paxton. Alex Nielson of Trembling Bells performed several new short film scores, Josie Long presented a night of comedy shorts, and we showcased the film scene of Miami – the ‘next great hope of American film’, according to Indiewire.

Dates of the 2015 festival and a call for entries will be announced shortly.
