GMFF returns with a jaw-dropping series of live performances, new soundtracks and AV explorations. Curated by the GFF team and long term partners-in-crime The Arches, the programme embraces local artists and global greats. We take you on a journey from Glasgow Cathedral where Carl Dreyer’s silent masterpiece The Passion of Joan of Arc will screen accompanied by a haunting live score, to The Grand Ole Opry where you can dance the night away at our Calamity Jane Barn Dance. Jane Birkin and Jeff Mills perform live, while our film screenings celebrate indie icon Jeff Buckley, experimental musician Grandma Lo-Fi and the world’s greatest drummer, Ginger Baker.
