GYFF Youth Team Seeks New Members!
Want to be part of Europe's most innovative film festival for young audiences?
Over 9,000 people attended GYFF 2011 films and events chosen by the GYFF Youth Team. Over a period of six months, the team decides on all aspects of their film festival.
Part of their tasks included hosting special Q&A discussions, producing film trailers, designing graffiti boards, selecting festival brochure layouts and even singing at musical concerts.
Many of the group have become close friends and gone on to further work experience opportunities within the arts. It's amazing opportunity for everyone involved - as a result of their dedication, three members of the team have been invited to the upcoming Venice Film Festival this September to join their young audiences film jury.
We're looking for outgoing Glasgow-based teenagers aged 15-18 who are free Monday evenings from August onwards. We especially want to hear from young film fans from all types of diverse backgrounds. All that is required of new members is enthusiasm, regular attendance and most importantly, a passion for film.
If you are interested in taking part, please email paul.macgregor@glasgowfilm.org and tell us why you’d be a good addition to the team. Places are limited so don't delay!
“We learnt good skills for organising and heading up events, plus we met lots of new people and made friends. An amazing experience.” Lucy, 17

Hi my name is David and would like to be considered as part of this team. As a film fan and Glasgow resident, I find this a great opportunity to get involved in film, music, team building opportunities, meeting new people, assisting the audience and developing my knowledge much further in this area. I plan to study media studies in the near future and this would be a wonderful opportunity to learn and compliment my aspirations.
Look forward to hearing from you.
