Wee Movies competition winners announced!
We had fantastic entries to our first ever Wee Movies competition.
Glasgow FIlm asked families, young people and youth groups to make short films inspired by the Bird on Glasgow's legendary coat of arms for our Cinema City project. Entries ranged from silent animations to live-action horror!
Below are the winning films made by local Glaswegians, plus a special runner up. Everyone who has entered the competition will have their films shown before suitable films and will be eligible to win a special grand prize at Glasgow Youth Film Festival 2012.
WINNER - Best Under-12s: The Takahashi Family
The Takahashis impressed the judges with their visually inventive and cute film. They win some Bird related films on DVDs, which are flying to their nest very soon!
WINNER - Best 12 and Under entry
WINNER - Best 12-years-old and Over: Kyle Mcaslan
The judges were wowed by this beautiful animation Kyle has directed. We think he has a big future ahead of him! Kyle wins 4 pairs of cinema tickets to the GFT.
WINNER - Best 12-years-old and over entry
RUNNER UP: Project Ability
The gang at Project Ability have won some free cinema tickets for their hilarious short!
Thanks to everyone who submitted their film. We loved watching them all.
