My perfect (total fantasy - all travel to be conducted by some sort of "beam me up" device) date would take my partner and I from pole to pole. We'd start with a sea-swim and walk along the Bondi beach walk for some brekkie on one of the terraces of Sydney's multitude of amazing cafes. I'd follow this up with a visit to Prague castle, in the crisp, bright European Autumnal light and nip over to Amsterdam for a late lunch in Cafe Thijssen and a cycle around the canals. Back to Scotland just in time to catch a film in the GFT (the date has been going quite well, so we're holding hands in the back row) and then we'll take our rumbling tummies up to Shetland for the freshest scallops Monty's Bistro has to offer and a walk under the Northern Lights before, hopefully, bed...

My ideal date would be anything that involves sun, food & wine! Can't beat those 3 essential ingredients for an ideal date.

My ideal date would be Mickey Mouse as he is a sharp dresser, full of fun and always well-spoken. He has his own house and car and a wide circle of friends to whom he is loyal. He is more than 80 and has a lifetime of adventures to talk about. I already have several photos of myself with him but I didn't get the chance to spend much time with him as there are always so many others waiting to see him. I would love an evening of quality time with Mickey Mouse.

I would love to meet someone on a pier at the seafront, on a gloriously sunny day. They would bring me a luscious ice-cream as a way of saying hello. We'd walk along the sand, and sit on rock rocks, paddling in the pools of water, whilst looking for little critters. We'd collect some stones, and they'd teach me how to skim the pebbles on the water. We'd write our names in the sand and chase each other up the amusement arcade, where we'd spend some time at the coin pushing machines, and have a game on the racing cars, or shoot-em-up. Afterwards, we'd each fish and chips whilst sitting on a wall looking out at the sea. To finish, we'd sit outside a pub until it got dark drinking pints of refreshing cider and cracking jokes, until one of us, starts to sing out of tune to the music coming out of the bar. A silly dance would be optional. We'd get the train home, or if we knew each other well, we'd stay at a retro b and b with artex on the ceiling, and woodchip on the walls :)

my ultimate date would be the following
"Date Night" would be with "John Carter" on "New Year's Eve". As both of us would had worked from "9 to 5" we meet at "21 Jump Street" in "Chicago" where we head to "Chinatown" travelling by "Plane, train & Automobile"
After food we will have a "Boogie Nights" with some "Dirty Dancing" as I am "Top Gun" at it. Then some time gambling in the "Casino." Biting the "Bullitt" we end the date with "Breakfast At Tiffany's". Hopefully it won't be a "Fright Night" but "An Affair To Remember"
    Bonsai!

My perfect date would be with my favourite person, my long suffering partner Danny.

We would stroll around Vienna, very loosely tracing the steps of Jesse and Céline in Linklater’s “Before Sunrise”. We’d walk beside the canal, take a tour on the Danube, ride the Wiener Riesenrad, put the world to rights in a traditional Viennese cafe, shoot pool, plan to go to a show then forget and of course visit the Cemetery of the Nameless, where we could reflect on love, life and absent friends.
