Public Engagement Co-ordinator

To bring about a step change in the quality and diversity of Glasgow Film’s programming and learning activities and to create a springboard for Glasgow Film to work with community and other partners to facilitate better access to and usage of Glasgow Film resources. The postholder will work to increase participation, by liaising with individuals and groups regardless of age, gender, ethnic origin or socio-economic status, to identify community interests, needs and issues, and plan and deliver a wide range of activities in response to those diverse needs. This role requires the post holder to act as a specialist source of knowledge and expertise on community engagement for Glasgow Film and to work with staff from across Glasgow Film in developing and promoting a range of public engagement activities.

Children and Young People's Co-ordinator

The post holder will manage the current engagement activities for children and young people at Glasgow Film which includes work with schools, the Glasgow Youth Team, Glasgow Youth Film Festival (GYFF) and screenings for families and children, and will take a key role in developing and delivering a new engagement strategy for children and young people at Glasgow Film. She/he will work closely with the Programme Director and other members of the Programme Team to ensure that engagement activity with children and young people is fully integrated into all aspects of the Glasgow Film programmes. Our ideal candidate will be a self-starter used to making decisions and thinking creatively. They will have prior experience of creative learning and participation programmes that engage new and existing audiences of children and young people, a knowledge of the range of current arts engagement practice and have a good track record of budget and project management.
