OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH SCHOOLS
Children and young people have a vital role to play in Glasgow Film’s vision for a cinema which supports learning. Glasgow Film Learning runs a full schools programme throughout the year which intensifies during the Glasgow Youth Film Festival.
Curriculum for Excellence stresses the importance of interdisciplinary studies and activity beyond the classroom and our programme is perfectly placed to support this. Each event is listed with some key Curriculum themes to help teachers understand what it offers. In addition to these, all films in the programme can contribute to overall Literacy, Health and wellbeing, and Expressive arts experiences and outcomes:
LIT 0-1b/c, LIT 0-11b, LIT 1,2,3,4, 0-01a;
LIT 0,1,2,3,4-04a, LIT 0,1,2,3,4-07, LIT 0,1,2,3,4-09a, LIT 0,1,2,3,4-10a;
Health and wellbeing:
EXA 0,1,2,4-01a; EXA 3-01b
