Filmed during the Rolling Thunder Revue tour of 1975/76 and featuring many of his inner circle (Joan Baez, Allen Ginsberg, Ramblin’ Jack Elliott), Dylan’s rarely-seen second foray into film (after 1972’s Eat the Document) intersperses concert footage with improvised scenes in a playful, multilayered epic. Not to be missed!

Introduced by season curator Dr Pasquale Ianonne.

Is this a new or old print of the film, or is it sourced from the VHS tapes that most fans have seen (from a Channel 4 broadcast many years ago).

i live in the states, but I'd love to see this on the big screen. I'd also like to know if it's a new or old print or the bootleg version. I heard Dylan never allowed it to be screened at any festivals over the years or a dvd release.

There was a 16mm version in circulation in the 80s in the states. I was lucky enough to see it at a Food Co-op in Boston.

You would be doing the world a great favor if you could make a quality copy of this (on DVD) so that it would be available to the millions of Bob fans who have only seen the awful video tape version that is currently the only choice available.

Was this filmed to be framed in 4x3 or 16x9?

    Hello all,

We're screening a 35mm print of the film which we're getting from UK distributor Artificial Eye. We don't yet know what the framing of the film is on the print we're getting or how it was initially filmed.

Dale G, us making a DVD copy of this isn't an option! Come along to the screening instead...

    Best,
    Jen

    Great that you're showing this.
I didn't reaise that you had a Dylan thing on.
What other films did you show?

How about getting Eat the Document then?
