Something appealing? Nothing appalling – we promise. Something for everyone – a comedy tonight? Or a drama? Or a chiller? Or a musical? The thing is you will only find out by buying a ticket. The GFF Surprise Film is always the best kept secret in the Festival. Even the projectionists will not know until the night, so don’t even think of appealing to their better natures. In the past, lucky devils in Glasgow have had the chance to see Son of Rambow, Inland Empire, Ben Stiller in Greenberg and 13 Assassins long before anyone else in the country. Surely you could offer us a clue? No we can’t and please don’t call me Shirley.

Anyone know what the surprise film is this year?
Is it a drama, comedy, horror, thriller or action? Is it a film that's already been released in the States?
Please give a clue!!!
Sorry, Mr Anonymous, but that would ruin the fun.
It's ok. I know what it is ;)
Ladies and gentlemen! The GFF Surprise Film is..........
Cabin In The Woods!
Written by The Avengers director Joss Whedon.
Starring last year's Thor actor Chris Hemsworth, the superb character actor Richard Jenkins, The West Wing's Bradley Whitford and cult favourite Amy Acker!
Cabin in the Woods is not released in the UK until April, which would mean we would be holding the unnamed, unpublicised UK premiere.
Keep guessing, folks, but the only way you'll find out is to come watch it, because only about five people in the world know what it is... :)
Yes, but last year's surprise '13 Assassins' and year before 'Greenberg' would have also been unnnaned, unpublicised UK premiere's too wouldn't they, as they also hadn't been released in the UK. So i don't see the difference. Is it Damsels In Distress? :P
Please mention my name tonight as i'll be there in the audience! ;-)
It's the Adam Ant documentary isn't it? Out in a couple of months so must be a contender, eh?
