Satire meets science fiction in <b>Pella Kågerman</b> and <b>Hugo Lilja’s</b> scathing alternate-reality takedown of tech-bro media empires. Aspiring journalist Sonja (<b>Ella Rae Rappaport</b>) is hired as an unpaid intern by sleazy tycoon Dino Davis (<b>Tyler Labine</b>) and, along with camera operators Gemma (<b>Emma Creed</b>) and Turan (<b>Arvina Kananian</b>), is sent to a radioactive desert in Soviet Kazakhstan. They have been tasked with investigating rumours that, after a nuclear blast, mutant creatures including irradiated centaurs are loose in the zone. Based on the novel by <b>Arno Schmidt</b>, but also informed by <b>Kågerman’s</b> time working for Vice, the result is a surreal and spiky treat.
