Everybody to Kenmure Street
After winning the Special Jury Award at this year's Sundance Film Festival and going down a storm at Glasgow Film Festival's sold-out Opening Gala, <I>Everybody to Kenmure Street</I> returns to GFT. <b>The screening on Sunday 29 March at 7pm will include a Q&A with special guests including actor Kate Dickie, producer Ciara Barry and contributor Mohammad Asif.</b> On 13 May 2021, the Home Office staged a dawn raid on Kenmure Street in Pollokshields. Glasgow-based documentarian <b>Felipe Bustos Sierra</b> (<I>Nae Pasaran</I>) takes us right down to street level to show what happened next in his immersive film. He recreates the spontaneous act of civil resistance that sprang up as the multicultural community came together on a shared mission to stop their neighbours’ deportation.
