Visible Cinema: Ex Machina

Visible Cinema is GFT’s deaf and Hard of Hearing friendly film programme. May's Visible Cinema screening is Ex Machina – sinister sci-fi tale from Civil War director Alex Garland. A programmer goes to the private estate of his firm's brilliant CEO. He is tasked with testing the capabilities and consciousness of beautiful robot, Ava. As the week unfolds, it becomes clear that Ava is more self-aware and deceptive than either man imagined. Content notice: strong language, bloody violence, sex references There will be full access for deaf and hard of hearing cinema-goers at this screening. The films will have descriptive subtitles and the introduction and discussion will have Live Captioning and BSL interpretation. There are no trailers before the film.
