Curated by students from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland’s BA Performance for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Actors, these shorts span space and time, taking in multiple genres – creative documentary, romantic comedy, even horror – exploring Deaf lives and cultures, and widening the margins on how Deaf stories are told onscreen. Visible Cinema: RCS Curates Deaf Shorts is a creative collaboration between the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland’s BA Performance for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Actors, Glasgow Film Theatre and Glasgow Short Film Festival, promoting Deaf culture and championing Deaf-led/interest film.
