In 19th century South Africa, Dawid (Stian Bam) and his wife Hanna (Amalia Uys) live an isolated but devout life on a farm in the veldt but their lives are disrupted after Dawid finds a strange, feral child (Dawian van der Westhuizen) trapped in a box in the aftermath of a bloody massacre. The couple take him in but soon their grip on reality starts to slip.
