Movie Memories: The Way We Were

Movie Memories is GFT's dementia-friendly film programme, designed to enable people living with dementia to socialise in a safe and social environment. Everyone is welcome. All tickets are £3 (includes free refreshments and live music). Barbra Streisand and Robert Redford star as two college students brought together despite being total opposites – she’s a serious activist who cares about doing the right thing, while he’s carefree and holds no real beliefs. Set against the political backdrop of the lead up to the Second World War, the couple find that genuine friendship and physical attraction are not enough to overcome their differences. The Way We Were was the film that broke the hearts of idealists and bohemians in the 1970s. Event starts: 10.45 (live music), event ends: 13.10. Please note: For accessible seating requests you must contact us prior to booking your tickets to check availability.
