Primavera
Early 18th century Venice is brought vividly to life in <b>Damiano Michieletto’s</b> period drama about young virtuoso violinist Ceclia (<b>Tecla Insolia</b>). Living in the Ospedale della Pietà orphanage, her talents are put to use as a money-spinner for the establishment as part of ensembles that draw patrons from across the continent. Her future seems mapped out, with an arranged marriage looming on the horizon, but when composer Antonio Vivaldi is hired as an instructor, it seems her musical gift may offer other possibilities.
