Focusing on the impact of the evolution of technology and the role of accents to an artist's success. This film is brought to GFT by Doc n' Roll Film Festival 2024.
Directed and Produced by first-time filmmaker Eunice Olumide MBE, who will be joining us at the screening for a post-film Q&A. Born and raised in Scotland's notorious Weserhails, Eunice Olumide has dedicated her life and career to social justice paving the way for future generations. The V & A Design Champion, author and award winning multi hyphenate has worked with radical figures including Vivienne Westwood, Grace Jones and Alexander Mqueen, and is famed for her activism work around sustainability and equity. She is an esteemed public speaker, producer and broadcaster with credits including BBC Radio Four's Pick of The Week, Channel 4, ITV, BBC Radio 5 Live, and her ARIAS nominated podcast.
After the screening of Secret Lives: The Untold Story of British Hip Hop Glasgow Film Theatre and Coalition for Racial Equality and Rights invite you to celebrate the end of the 2024 Black History Month programme at Third Eye Bar. We will be joined by Junglehussi who will be bringing you a Hip Hop infused DJ set.
