<div style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: Aptos, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Three short films reflecting on the story, memory and lasting legacy of the Iolaire disaster, in which more than 200 men returning home after the First World War lost their lives off the coast of Lewis on New Year’s Day 1919.</div><div style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: Aptos, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br></div><div style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: Aptos, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Dàn features poet Peter Mackay reflecting on Iain Crichton Smith’s poem Tha thu air Aigeann m’ Inntinn and its personal significance to him. This is followed by Catrìona Black’s hand-drawn animated film Tha thu air Aigeann m’ Inntinn (You Are at the Bottom of My Mind), which combines the poem with archive recordings of survivors and witnesses and an original score by fiddler Sarah-Jane Summers.
