The Good Boy
Oscar-nominated director <b>Jan Komasa</b> (<i>Corpus Christi</i>) directs this dark thriller, shot through with black comedy, about out-of-control teenager Tommy (<b>Anson Boon</b>) who fuels his drinking and drug-taking by monetising videos of his criminal deeds online. After a heavy night, Tommy is kidnapped by Chris (<b>Stephen Graham</b>), a stranger who chains him up in the basement of the home he shares with his depressed wife (<b>Andrea Riseborough</b>) and 10-year-old son. Chris’ motivation is to turn Tommy into a ‘good boy’ within this dysfunctional family. As time passes, a strange and complex dynamic begins to develop between the captive and his captors.
