Scottish Mental Health Arts Festival

The Scottish Mental Health Arts Festival (SMHAF) runs from 20 October to 9 November 2025, exploring the theme of Comfort and Disturb.

Now in its 19th year, the Mental Health Foundation's annual festival takes place across Scotland, with hundreds of events covering film, theatre, writing, music, visual arts, creative workshops and more.

SMHAF aims to provide a platform for everyone to create and share art inspired by mental health and our innovative approach combines high artistic quality with with grassroots support, community engagement and social activism.
