Deaf Awareness Week, 6 - 12 May
At GFT, we are proud to provide Cinema for All. Celebrate Deaf Awareness Week with us this May by attending one of our Captioned screenings. You can also join us for the May edition of our deaf-friendly Visible Cinema programme with a screening of Alex Garland's Ex Machina on Tuesday 21 May.
Captioned Screenings
GFT offers Captions on selected titles and selected screenings. Captions, also known as Descriptive Subtitles, include descriptions of music and sound effects as well as dialogue. These screenings are marked with CC on the screening time slot. When a film has descriptive subtitles available up to 30% of our screenings will be captioned.
